A Vitec Group brand
Vinten Radamec, a Vitec Group brand and world leader in robotic camera support systems, has won the coveted ‘Best of IBC2011’ award for its Fusion FHR-35 remote pan and tilt head from the editors of TVB Europe and The IBC Daily.
During the recent IBC2011 exhibition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the TVB Europe and IBC Daily editors collaborated on their selections for the smartest, most game-changing new products to be launched into the EMEA market at the show. Vinten Radamec picked up the award in the camera support technology category.
The Fusion FHR-35 is the first Vinten Radamec product to incorporate Intelligent Control Engineering (ICE) technology, creating the most high-performance head in its class. Designed for payloads of up to 16kg, the versatile Fusion FHR-35 operates over a standard Ethernet connection and requires no external power supplies or lens drives. The ground-breaking ICE technology ensures seamless integration into existing installations, with the mechanical design, control and processing technology providing the fastest and the slowest smooth movement, as well as the widest pan and tilt range, with accuracy better than 0.01˚.
Additionally, the Fusion FHR-35 provides the controller with precise positional reporting, together with zoom and focus data from an internal digital lens. The digital lens drive provides control for the majority of full servo lenses.
“Our team has a unique insight into the IBC exhibitor community,” said Fergal Ringrose, editor of TVB Europe and The IBC Daily. “For these awards, we picked the most innovative and most clever new products at Europe’s biggest show for broadcast and media professionals. We were especially looking for new products that clearly show the potential to make or save money for end-users”.
“We are delighted to have won a Best of IBC2011 Award. It highlights that the Fusion FHR-35 is indeed a completely new concept in camera robotics and is far ahead of anything else on the market,” says Karen Walker, robotics commercial manager for Vinten Radamec. “ICE enables the FHR-35 to be incredibly responsive, offering an unprecedented level of control and accuracy in a highly compact form factor.”
